What Bioinformatics looks like in a creative way
Like what I did in Halifax as postdoc, I like to share what I did in an interesting, which is less academic literature rationale but more fun. Until recently, I read the article from Nature career columns, realizing that many people are doing the same way I did to make academic more fun. It is a place to share personal story and advice during academic career. They encourage scientists to turn the personal failure or struggle into a valuable lesson for a wider community. They don’t have specific formats but do have some guidelines, such as be detailed in personal experiences where you want to advice other scientists and why you are the appropriate person to delivery that speech. The other guidelines are to check what they have published to have a taste of what they are looking for. Besides, they will not accept academic articles, but welcome informal tone submission.
When it is not clear to outline what is your idea, the best way is to draw an analogy and go specifics, like the past analogies I made.
- Can Uber for Bioinformatics? Can you imagine one day your bioinformatics abilities were tipped because of you finished a question order?
- Is computer code a new foreign language? same to your real life needs of listening (e.g., Podcast), reading (e.g., Harry Potter series books), speaking (e.g., seminar talk) and writing (e.g., thesis) in a foreign language, coding is to solve the specific Bioinformatics questions with similar training requirements.
- Researcher and actor Actor and researcher are both creative roles in life. They start with no-name and join different labs, participate conference and acquire representative papers.
- What Kong Fu has you leant in Bioinformatics By drawing these parallels, we can appreciate the mastery and diversity of skills required in both kung fu techniques and the field of bioinformatics. Just as martial artists train to perfect their techniques, bioinformaticians refine their skills to uncover the intricacies of biological data. martial arts novels
