Love the life you live, live the life you love.
After experiencing a horror night with roaring wind and rain, the sun has finally come out, the coffee shop is busy again and people walk out to embrace the fresh air. It seems all has come back to peace, excepting the debris of peeled tree branches lying on the street, electricity lines hanging out middle of the air, and road signs falling down everywhere. It might take a while to recover and get everything back to usual. It is more than ever to need hope, coverage and love in this place.
Like the hurricane of Fiona, most of our time in life are experiencing the things unavoided. Just like you cannot finish drinking in the bar of harbour and right away head away to another place to escape the possible power shortage bringing any inconvenience. Well, you can if you have family living in other places, but you better balance the time and cost that will take. Right, we live in a world with time and money not for unlimited. To pursue better life and live well, more money will be needed. To make more money, more time will be needed. There is a saying deciphering life in a simple way: spend time when you have no money, make money when you have time.
Fortunately, at most of time, the most folks are between the extremes, because at the time of reading, you are either not worry about how to spend your money, or how to make money for next billing cycle. But we do need to balance the limited time and cost to live the life you deserved. For example, we cannot say NO to the pandemic and the impacts are already there. Shortage of the labor force means higher of fuel cost, inflated food price and delayed travelling plans. However, what we can do is not to complain about the things already happens. There always the way we need to live with it. Instead of thinking how to escape the burdens, it might be better to move forward with how to conquer, how to ease and how to live with it.
Taking oneself as example, the pandemic did make it inconvenient to fly back and forth, more money will be spent, more procedures will be planed ahead, extra quarantine days will be needed. It is impossible to make instant decision to come and go with at least five months shall be planned. The pandemic did extend the processing time of the government to visa and permit, which delayed the next step of purchasing a big house and travelling plan. With people surging in Halifax, it is more difficult to find a cheaper and affordable apartment. There is still a lot of uncertainties when taking care of the baby with two of us.
Take a step back, even without the pandemic, those are questions we are still going to face in life: working pressure, housing loans, daily life cost, baby caring, and family issues. Maybe it is not good idea to blame on the pandemic, but always think in a good way. Everyone is experiencing the same pain as yours every day. Nothing to complain, that is life as it is. Let’s hope for the best and time will tell. Hope for the best
